Tomato Rice for Babies/Toddlers

Tomatoes are rich sources of vitamins and minerals.I made this tomato rice for the lunch.This is a simple and an easy  recipe for babies above  12 months.


  • Tomato puree (1 tomato)
  • 1/2 cup Rice
  • 1/2 tbsp Mustard seeds/Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tbsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • Salt


  • Heat ghee in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.
  • Add tomato puree into the pan.
  • Add turmeric powder and salt ,allow the mixture to boil.
  • Add rice to the mixture and  cook it.You can also add cooked rice.
  • Stir well and turn of the flame.
